Hadfield House

Hadfield house was established in 1911 and has a proud tradition of producing ‘Good Hadfield Men’. Name after the Bishop of Wellington, Octavius Hadfield who had an early influence on Whanganui Collegiate School in the 1870s.

Our House motto ‘Palma non sine pulvere’ (No reward comes without effort), personifies the values the House strives to develop in those that come through our doors. All students are encouraged to excel in life at the School and to make the most of the opportunities they are presented with. This is supported by our house mantra ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’, we in T.E.A.M Hadfield know that with the support of many, we can achieve great things.
